If Secrets of Survival gets something wrong, we want to correct the page and make the useful record clearer.
How to report an error
Use the contact form. Please include the page URL, the passage or claim at issue, what you believe is wrong, and any source that would help us verify it. Product makers and affiliate partners may report errors, but they do not control the conclusion.
How corrections are handled
- Safety-critical or materially misleading errors: review first and correct, qualify, or temporarily remove the affected passage as quickly as practical.
- Errors that change the conclusion: correct the text and add a dated correction note explaining the material change.
- Minor factual, spelling, formatting, or link errors: correct them without necessarily adding a permanent note.
- Disputed interpretation: recheck the evidence and clarify uncertainty or competing views where that helps the reader.
A displayed update date may change for maintenance as well as a substantive rewrite. The page’s review note should explain the scope when it matters. Updating a broken link does not mean a product was retested or every claim was re-researched.
Older pages
The archive spans more than two decades and is being audited. If an old page cannot be made safe or useful immediately, we may add a warning, remove it from search, redirect it to a stronger resource, or retire it. We preserve established URLs where doing so serves readers, but preserving a URL does not require preserving bad advice.
